Creep is the first ever single released by the English band Radiohead in 1992. It was their first single and is featured in the band’s album ‘Pablo Honey,’ released in 1993. Creep was written by guitarist Thom Yorke and his band members, and it depicts loneliness and self-hate.
The song was composed by Radiohead during their days at the university, which reflects Yorke’s struggles with rejection, unreciprocated love and rejection. Combining soft verses with powerful choruses, the song expresses the narrator’s internal conflict and turmoil.
Creep didn’t get much attention when it was first released but later on started gaining the recognition they deserved, which made the band gain an identity. Turns out it was a complete banger for outsiders. Now it is considered a cult song that people love to this day.

Creep Lyrics
When you were here before, couldn’t look you in the eye
You’re just like an angel, your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather in a beautiful world
I wish I was special, you’re so fuckin’ special
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here
I don’t care if it hurts, I wanna have control
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I’m not around
You’re so fuckin’ special, I wish I was special
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here
Oh, oh
She’s runnin’ out the door
She’s runnin’ out
She run, run, run, run
Run
Whatever makes you happy, whatever you want
You’re so fuckin’ special, I wish I was special
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here
I don’t belong here
